5 Essential Oils for Stress Relief: How to Relax Naturally
Share
Essential oils have long been celebrated for their calming and stress-relieving properties. This highlights five essential oils known for their effectiveness in promoting relaxation and natural stress relief. Let's delve into the benefits of each oil!
Adaptiv: This proprietary blend from doTERRA is specifically designed to help the body and mind adapt to stressful situations. Adaptiv contains a mix of Wild Orange, Lavender, Copaiba, Spearmint, Magnolia, Rosemary, Neroli, and Sweetgum, which work synergistically to reduce feelings of tension and promote emotional balance. It's ideal for use during challenging times or when you need a little extra support in managing stress.
I use this oil every day! This has been y saving grace as I removed prescription medication from my body and have kept them away for almost 4 years. Have I tried more than 3? Yes, yes I have. The best thing about Adaptiv is it comes in a kit of three different ways to use the oil. It comes in a roller bottle (I keep one in my purse and on my nightstand), a regular oil bottle (perfect for diffusing and adding to DIY’s), and it comes in capsules for you to get the effects internally (I take one every day)!
Balance: Another doTERRA blend, Balance, is crafted to provide grounding and tranquility. It combines Spruce, Ho Wood, Frankincense, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile, and Osmanthus with Fractionated Coconut Oil. The result is a warm, woody aroma that creates a sense of calm and well-being. Balance is perfect for daily use to maintain a steady, relaxed state.
I use this oil in my diffuser more days during the week than I can count! IT has a woodsy smell so it very grounding and calming. We also put this in our daughter’s diffuser at bedtime to help her sleep through the night, peacefully!
Lavender: Renowned for its versatile uses, Lavender essential oil is a staple in stress relief. Its soothing aroma is known to calm the mind and body, making it an excellent choice for reducing anxiety and promoting restful sleep. Lavender can be diffused, applied topically, or added to a warm bath for a relaxing experience.
What don’t I use lavender for?? Ha! I use it for everything but when it comes to calming down my go to is to diffuse it! Lavender comes in a roller bottle as well (or you can make your own) to carry in your purse or go-bag!
Frankincense: Often referred to as the "king of oils," Frankincense is valued for its powerful grounding and mood-stabilizing properties. Its rich, balsamic aroma is both calming and centering, making it a great choice for meditation and stress management. Frankincense can be diffused or applied to the skin for a sense of peace and relaxation.
This King is grounding, relaxing, and restorative! I wear frankincense daily (from the roller bottle) and I diffuse it with my Balance and Adaptiv! It has so many great uses and this is just the tip of the iceberg!
Peace: This doTERRA blend, also known as the Reassuring Blend, includes Vetiver, Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Frankincense, Clary Sage, Marjoram, Labdanum, and Spearmint. Peace is designed to counteract anxious feelings and promote a sense of contentment. Its floral and minty scent can be diffused or used topically to help soothe the mind and body.
I’m gonna be honest, I haven’t used this blend in a while… I honestly forgot about it until I did research on the best 5 oils for this topic! But as I researched this oil and smelled it again, I was quickly reminded of its calming effect and soothing scent. I will definitely be integrating this more into my meditation sessions!
Incorporating these essential oils into your daily routine can offer natural and effective support for managing stress and encouraging relaxation. Whether used individually or combined, these oils provide a holistic approach to maintaining mental and emotional well-being! You cannot go wrong with dumping the candles and switching to these natural oils to pop in your diffuser!
